What Happens on a Dive Tour

Pre-Dive Preparation:
- Arrive at the dive site for a comprehensive safety briefing. Our instructors will walk you through the equipment, educate you on the basic scuba fundamental skills/principles, and answer any questions.
- Get fitted with comfortable, high-quality gear that’s perfect for beginners.
In-Water Training:
- Start in shallower water, practicing basic skills like breathing, clearing your mask, regulator recovery, and buoyancy control.
- Once you feel confident, venture out to explore the reef with your instructor by your side.
The Dive Experience:
- Glide effortlessly through the water, marveling at the vibrant marine life around you. Expect to see schools of colorful fish, playful sea turtles, and maybe even a shy eel or two.
Post-Dive Debrief:

"Is it safe?" Absolutely. We adhere to strict safety protocols and use high-quality equipment to ensure a secure dive.
"Will I see turtles and fish?" Yes! Oahu’s waters are teeming with marine life, and you’ll have plenty of opportunities to encounter its underwater residents.
"Can I take photos during the dive?" Since we adhere to PADI regulations, beginner divers are only able to bring cameras with them on their second dive. But do not worry, free GoPro photos are included on every Lokahi Scuba tour! So you can take a part of the adventure home with you!
